Spare started as a script that answered our own meeting requests. Now it helps 40,000 people a week.
Why we started
In 2023 the three of us were running a small studio and losing two hours a day to email, scheduling and chasing. We tried every assistant on the market. They either needed constant babysitting or did things we hadn’t asked for.
What we believe
An assistant should do the work and leave the decisions to you. That is why every job in Spare starts on Approve, and why it never pays for anything without asking.
Where we are now
We are a team of 18 in Lisbon and Toronto. We are funded by our customers and a small group of angel investors, and we answer support emails ourselves.
